Beautiful day

The delights of a New Forest weekend...

What a lovely weekend. The New Forest is such a beautiful place for a bank holiday. I'm still amused by the tail backs caused by wild donkeys and ponies resting in the middle of the road. Hide and seek, races down the sand quarry and a well earned pint to round it off. A pretty good weekend all round.

Body painting

I found these this morning and thought they looked like great fun...

Sofa removals

I bumped into these guys just after they'd established that one large sofa and one small flat on the first floor doesn't go. Pretty impressive. I reckon I would have ended up with a ripped sofa and broken windows. Best leave it to the professionals.

Mother's fridge!

Check out what happens to milk if left in mum's fridge for one, two, three too many days... I found this over the weekend. I guess it would be well on the way to making great yoghurt.

welsh sun

90p to walk across a railway bridge in Wales. And, as the man operating the toll booth informed us, that was for a return ticket. I do love the walk across the toll bridge, a stroll along the beach front, try my luck with the 2p slot machines in the arcades, grab a pint and a plate of chips. All good...

by night

It really can be a lonely place sometimes. For such a big city with so many people going about their business, somehow it seems very easy to feel lost in amongst it all. Sometimes I feel like the guy in the middle of the road. An onlooker, with too much flying by. Other times, I'm loving it and feel like the driver of the bus. London, my oyster!

Wedding belles

I don't know about you, but I loved the royal wedding. What a celebration of all things good about the UK. I headed up to the centre of town for about 6.30am to soak up a little of the atmosphere before taking on a flat party and street party. Well done Wills and Kate!

Happy days...
